Introduction

Emily Carr Secondary School is located in Woodbridge, Ontario, within the city of Vaughan and was founded on September 1, 2003,  Celebrating its first graduating class in 2007, the school is dedicated to equipping each student with the tools, opportunities, and support needed to seize control of their own future. Drawing students from nearby schools like Fossil Hill Public School, Elders Mills Public School, Vellore Woods Public School, Lorna Jackson Public School, Pierre Berton Public School, Saint Stephen's Catholic Elementary School, and others, Emily Carr Secondary School serves as a hub for education and community collaboration in the region.

Academics

Emily Carr Secondary School features the High Performance Athlete (HPA) program for students who are competing at the provincial, national and/or international level. Students may also enroll in Dual Credit (DC) through which they can take college or apprenticeship courses that count towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, degree or a Certificate of Apprenticeship. The school additionally offers the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program in Business as well as Health and Wellness.
