Introduction
Bill Hogarth Secondary School was officially opened in November 2017 in the city of Markham. Since its inception, the school has shown continuous dedication towards creating a supportive and inclusive environment with abundant learning opportunities to foster both student achievement and well-being. It centers its teaching and learning framework on the cultivation of key traits such as effective communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The school also features many programs including successful athletics with championship-winning sports teams, vibrant arts initiatives, dynamic school clubs, active student committees, and a variety of engaging extracurricular activities.

Bill Hogarth boasts various facilities to enrich students' learning experience such as a four-section gymnasium, a dance studio, a fitness room, and a 400-meter track surrounding a spacious playing field. Other notable facilities include The Learning Commons, an advanced learning area for students to develop research skills, explore robotics, and create videos. Students also gain access to chromebooks, laptops, virtual reality kits, and iPads. Bill Hogarth Secondary School features a variety of education programs to cater to students’ academic interests such as the French Immersion program as well as the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program which is offered in Business, Health and Wellness, Information and Communication Technology, and Transportation. It also offers the Dual Credit program which allows students to take college or apprenticeship courses that count towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, degree or a Certificate of Apprenticeship.
