Mind the Facts: A Podcast
A Student-Teacher Project
Mind the Facts is a language development project devoted to the advancement of ideas that we expect will change the landscape of human interaction. Through this initiative, students are rendered a set of operational tools that enable them to navigate their lives with precision in thought and clarity in communication. Please visit mindthefacts.org to learn more about the podcast and the ideas we intend to forward.
All students are encouraged to make a guest appearance! The podcast is operated and hosted by our principal and head tutor, John. Shows typically run between 2 and 3 hours, they are not live streams, and recordings are always shared with student guests. If students are taking English tutoring at YRT, these recordings are especially valuable as they help tutors to delineate, assess and then strengthen their language and presentation skills.
Giving All Students Full Access
Students are conferred a rare opportunity to experience the back-end mechanics of a standard video podcast. From diffusion box positioning to mixing board calibration techniques, our setup emulates that of popular podcasts like H3H3 Productions, The Joe Rogan Podcast and The Tim Ferris show. Many students are interested in starting their own youtube channels or podcasts, but technicalities are often a huge obstacle in doing so. We teach all students the essentials should they one day desire to develop their online presence.
