Zero Travel Time

Online tutoring offers flexibility in scheduling and location. Students can access tutoring sessions from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for travel. This convenience saves time and allows tutoring to fit into even the busiest schedules.

Flexible Booking Times

York Region Tutoring provides 24/7 online tutoring every day of the year, allowing you to select the day and time that fits your schedule. With our remote services, students can maintain their regular sessions from anywhere, even while on vacation across different time zones. Recently, one of our students traveled to China for badminton finals during the school year and kept up with his tutoring to stay on track with his studies.

Access An Exceptional Pool of Tutors

Online tutoring enables students to connect with tutors from diverse regions of Ontario who meet our rigorous hiring standards. While some highly qualified tutors may be unable to offer in-person tutoring due to geographical limitations, they can still share their expertise through online platforms. This approach expands our reach while maintaining high tutor selection standards, focusing on recruiting the most outstanding educators without geographic constraints.

Improved Communication and Collaboration

Online tutoring integrates video, chat messaging, and collaborative tools, promoting clear communication and interaction between tutors and students. This fosters a more engaging and effective learning experience. When students and tutors collaborate on assignments, such as working on a document together, the online environment enables them to edit and contribute to the document simultaneously.

Online tutoring at York Region Tutoring offers the advantages of convenience, flexibility, and a personalized learning experience, making it a valuable choice for students seeking academic support.

Choose From 3 Online Tutoring Programs

1 on 1 tutoring (online or in-person)

Our personalized one-on-one tutoring service is designed for students who require support during the school year while actively enrolled in their courses, those attending summer school, or individuals aiming to get a head start on learning the subject.

This customized tutoring program is available to students ranging from Grades 7 through 12, as well as select university courses.

Small Group Tutoring

While the majority of our students opt for individualized one-on-one tutoring, York Region Tutoring offers the alternative of small group classes for those who prefer receiving tutoring with a friend, classmate, or even a fellow twin.

Please note, in order to opt for group tutoring, you must find a friend who is in the same class as you. Despite schools following the Ontario Curriculum, it’s worth noting that the pace, order of unit taught, and content may vary among teachers. Forming a group with a friend will ensure that the tutoring sessions are run optimally.

learn a course (LAC)

Exclusive to York Region Tutoring, the Learn a Course (LAC) program is designed to educate students in an extensive array of academic subjects, encompassing Academic, preIB, or IB Math, Science (including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and English courses.

The program incorporates quizzes and tests at different intervals, culminating in a final exam created by educators from York Region. This final assessment aims to evaluate the student’s proficiency in the course material.

For Academic students, over a 30-hour duration, there is an opportunity to thoroughly delve into the entire course content, preparing them for their upcoming school curriculum. IB and AP courses may necessitate additional time to cover the curriculum.
